Pinhole Photographs
Many years ago, I was doing studio portraiture. There was a special soft-focus lens that had a disc with multiple different apertures of varying sizes on the disc, and the disc would be placed in the lens. This would produce several overlapping projections of the sitter onto the film, giving a soft, dreamy look to the final portrait. I was considering this idea of multiple overlapping images and decided to experiment with this idea using pinhole lenses. I made several different pinhole lenses and tried a number of different pinholes. I settled on nine holes, which produced 9 different overlapping images.
